Our Story
It Started With Two Hives In A Backyard
2017
The Beginning
I walked through the "Go Texan" building at the State Fair of Texas and stopped at a booth that would change everything. John Talbert, a local beekeeper, ran a school for aspiring apiarists. I signed up on the spot.
2018
Two Hives & A Dream
In January I started beekeeping school, by May, I had two hives and nowhere to put them but my backyard at The Tribute Lakeside Golf & Resort Community in The Colony. That's where the name comes from—this entire journey traces back to that property, those first bees, and the community that supported a rookie beekeeper learning as he went.
2019
First Harvest, First Award
I didn't harvest that first summer. The bees needed time to build, and I needed time to learn. But this year, I pulled my first frames, bottled that honey, and entered it in the State Fair of Texas Honey Contest. We took 2nd place.
Today
A Commitment To Craft
Since then: 9 major awards across Texas. Expansion to the Hill Country. Creamed honey in flavors people didn't know they were missing. Infused varieties that push what honey can be. And every single jar still made by hand, one batch at a time.
We were gifted two jars of this honey and it is amazing!
The creamy jalapeño honey has a kick to it that is so good it’s uses are endless! The regular honey has a taste far and above any honey I’ve ever tried, and we’ve tried honey from all over the place. I highly recommend trying this award winning nectar you won’t bee 🐝 disappointed!!
